It is with great sadness that the family of Richard John Moncello announces his passing on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 78 years old. He passed peacefully at home with his family. Richie was born in Minneola, New York to Joseph Moncello and Josephine Karantona on February 12, 1939. He was quick to grow up and passed on his wisdom to his children. He was an avid numismatist, extraordinarily social and most recently, especially looked forward to his bowling league. He will be lovingly remembered by his six children, Richard J. Moncello Jr. (Lynne), Deborah Moncello, James Moncello (Joanne), Thomas Moncello, Robert Moncello (Maryann) and William Moncello (Wendy). Richie will be forever cherished as Papa to his 11 grandchildren, Megan, Emily, Anabella, Alexander, Ava, Andrew, Ellaina, Richard III, Alexis, Clare and Samuel. He is also survived by his brother, Robert J. Moncello.

A traditional Catholic service, a celebration of Richard's life, will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church (1020 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714) on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 9:30am. It will be followed by a graveside service at Highland Memory Gardens (3329 East Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703).
