Richard (Dick) O. Longchamps, 75, passed away on November 11, 2015 in Davenport, Florida surrounded by his loving family at Florida Hospital in Celebration FL.
Dick was born on April 24, 1940 in Manchester, NH the son of Odias Longchamps and Ernestine (Nuttle) Morra.
He married his high school sweetheart, Gail Gallagher, on August 20, 1960. He attended Manchester schools graduating from Manchester High School West in 1958 and went on to become an expert butcher, opening a restaurant in Merrimack NH, then managing the meat department at Hannaford Supermarkets for many years until his retirement. Dick was very active in all churches he was a communicant of including being a member of the choir.
He lived in Bedford, Manchester and Goffstown before moving to Florida in 2001. In his life he enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, loved his job at Disney World as Captain of all boats at Magic Kingdom and singing in the Disney choir during the holiday Candlelight Procession, traveling the world, and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his father, Odias Longchamps in 1945, his mother, Ernestine Morra in 2012, and step-father, John Morra in 1991. He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years Gail (Gallagher) Longchamps, his son Randal Longchamps and his wife Tobi of Clermont, FL, five grandchildren, Emily Webb of Concord, NH, Owen Longchamps, Erica Longchamps, Gabrielle Longchamps and Harrison Longchamps all of Clermont, FL, one great grandchild Kaitlyn Marie Webb of Concord, NH, five siblings, Robert Longchamps of Manchester NH, Marie Colby of Bedford NH, Linda Perkins of Manchester NH, Marlene Locke of Gloucester MA and Kathy Morra of Manchester NH, several nieces and nephews, his beloved dog Lexi, and many friends all over the world. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
