Richard Lee Smith, age 82, was born on August 28, 1938 in Clarksburg, WV. He passed away in Altamonte Springs, FL on January 2, 2021. Richard (Dick) is survived by his wife, Helen (Dolly), and his daughters: Cynthia, Jennifer, and Missy and his grandchildren, Noah, Chance, Madeline and Gabe. He is preceded in death by his parents: Steele Smith and Martha Gould Smith. He graduated from Fairmont State College and was an Officer in the Navy. Dick Smith was a leader wherever he was; the president of his fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon; president of the Orange Audubon Society; and president of the Homeowners Association. He had a very successful career in sales at Hallmark Cards and Zep Manufacturing.

Dick Smith was a professional and a gentleman. His family knew he loved them because he told them how much they meant to him at every opportunity. From cookie baking to parallel parking to dealing a hand of poker, Dick taught his daughters the essentials of life. He ran all the errands and set up all the parties with joy in his heart. He will be remembered for his big smile, contagious laugh, and great story-telling. Dick was a champion of his children and grandchildren and took great pride in their accomplishments.
