Richard Stephen Kennedy age 93, at rest August 30, 2017 in Winter Park, FL, was born May 20, 1924 in Chicago IL to Mamie & Joseph P. Kennedy. Preceded in death by sister Ruth Mary (Sully) Patterson. Remembered fondly by daughters Jacalyn (William) Hewitt & Louise (Michael) Borst; nephews Greg & Vincent Patterson; grandchildren Jack, Sarah, Rachel, Jessica, Kristin, Tim, Matthew & great-grandchildren Emmett, Ariadni, David, & Gavin; and dear friend Deborah Carroll. Richard served his country in the Pacific Naval campaigns of WWII & was a retired electrician by trade .In addition to Chicago; he previously resided in Mundelein, Libertyville & Gurnee IL & locally in Casselberry FL where he attended Westminster Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed travel, railroad trains, gardening, music & roller-skating in his younger years.
