Richard James Lugering, also known as Huck, passed away on August 21st 2020 in Debary, Florida. Richard was 78 years old. Richard was born on February 25th 1942 in Hannibal, MO to his parents Robert and Virginia Lugering.

He served our country in the United States Navy from 1962-1964. He married Suzanne Ell in 1969 in St. Peters, MO. He raised his family in Palmyra, MO and moved to Florida in 1988.

Richard owned a Janitorial Supply Distributorship. He retired in 2012 and dedicated his remaining years to family and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

Richard was an active member of All Souls Catholic Church in Sanford, FL where he enjoyed volunteering his many services to the church.

Richard Lugering is survived by his spouse Suzanne Lugering of Debary, FL; his daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Vincent DeAndrea of Orlando, FL; his two sons, John and Paige Lugering of Debary, FL and Stephen and Emily Lugering of Wentzville, MO and 6 grandchildren.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, beloved grandfather and friend to many. He was a man of strong faith who has never met a stranger and who will be greatly missed yet live on in our hearts.

Visitation will be held Wednesday August 26th from 4:00-7:00 pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 905 S. Laurel Ave., Sanford, FL.

A Funeral Mass will be Thursday August 27th at 10:30am at All Souls Catholic Historic Chapel, located at 800 S. Oak Ave, Sanford, FL.
