Richard H. House, Jr (Rick) 62, born and lived in St. Petersburg, FL passed away at home September 9, 2018 after a 6 year battle with esophageal cancer. He was a warrior and fought a courageous fight. He was preceded in death by his father; Richard H. House Sr. and mother Ruth Robinson House. Rick is survived by his loving family; wife and best friend Christina House of 31 years, son Shane House(Amanda), sisters Janet Deane(Bill) and Linda Hand; 5 nieces and nephews, and one very dear grandson Evan. He was a man of his word, had an infectious sense of humor, and his smile lit up the room. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and leaves all who knew him with wonderful memories. He graduated from St. Pete High in 1975 and attended St. Petersburg College. He was a Corporal in the United States Army, 3rd and 35 Battalion, 1975 – 1978. Rick spent many years in the St. Pete Boys Choir. He worked and volunteered at the VA Bay Pines. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating, fishing, music, pets, and driving his buggy. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 13th at 2:00 pm at Palma Del Mar Rec Room, 6322 Palma Del Mar Blvd South, St. Petersburg, FL 33715. Casual dress requested.
