Obituary

Richard Halladay Cook, Jr., age 76, of Fern Park, Florida, passed away July 6, 2020. Richard was born on August 11, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Colonel Richard and Louis (Valentine) Cook.

He is survived by his brother John and sister Sue Cook; sons Richard and Steve Cook; sister-in-law Kathey Cook, daughter-in-law Jody Cook; niece and nephew Jamie and Sara Cook; grandsons Blake Giordano, Mason Cook; grand-daughter Morgan Cook and life-long friends Pat Garcia, Turtle Mock, Jim McCauvarn, and all the boys from T.W. A. airlines.

He graduated from Sandia High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He served 3 years in the Army, 82nd Airborne Division. After that he spent 30 plus years working for T.W.A. in Albuquerque, St. Louis and Orlando.

He built a home the family all spent time growing up in. He owned and operated a Mexican Food restaurant in Silver City, New Mexico and other business adventures along the way.

Big Plans
He planned it right up to the last day! Love you forever, Dad.

His cremains will be spread at a fishing hole in the Intracoastal Waterway in New Smyrna Beach. In the early fall, we will let everyone know two weeks in advance, that some ashes will be spread in the mountains of New Mexico by Pat Garcia and Turtle Mock.
