Richard Anthony Acevedo and Adam Robert Acevedo, beloved sons of Richard Acevedo and Vanessa Candelaria-Acevedo, and cherished brothers of Jennifer Lynn Acevedo-Segarra, passed away tragically on Saturday April 1, 2023. Richard (born 01/10/2004) was 19 and Adam (born 07/07/05) was 17, respectively.

The brothers were inseparable. They spent every moment of their short lives together. They went to the same schools, shared the same dreams, went on vacations together, and like everything else spent their final moments together. The love they shared with family could be seen by the way they greeted and hugged everyone. The love and joy they brought into the lives of their family and friends will be forever remembered and cherished. Richard and Adam Acevedo were known for their creativity and passion for music. While growing up, the brothers developed a shared love of drill music, and enjoyed writing and performing their content. Not only were they talented, but they also relished in sharing these passions with their friends – often spending hours collaborating and creating new music.

Family and friends have delighted memories of the boys dancing, and rapping. The Acevedo family has always been close-knit, and Richard and Adam were at the core of their brotherly and spiritual bond. They shared a special relationship with their sister, Jennifer, who loved them tremendously. Together, they would laugh, argue, cry, and make unforgettable memories that will now be fondly remembered and cherished forever. Many will remember the brothers for their genuine kindness, willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Their impact on the lives of their family and friends cannot be understated.
