Raymond "Ray" Joseph Young,
June 17, 1980 - February 18, 2023

Raymond was loved by his family, many good friends, and the love of his life, Jia Yi Tan. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor, he was a helpful and giving person, a good friend to everyone. He had a passion for travel and explored much of Southeast Asia. He particularly loved good food, the beach, and the water.

Ray was born in Orlando, Florida. He discovered his niche in cooking and became an excellent chef. In 2007, he moved to Hawaii and worked in a restaurant overlooking the ocean. His career took him to the oil fields in North Dakota, Texas and Alaska. Ray and Jia Yi met in 2015 and married September 21, 2018.

In the summer of 2019 he discovered he had cancer. Unfortunately, he passed away on Feb 18, 2023 after 3.5 years of fighting it. We will forever miss Ray, may he rest in peace.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Jia Yi Young Tan, his parents, Joe and Ginger Young and his two brothers, Paul Young and Aaron Spielman.
