Raymond Arthur Prose 82, born May 23rd, 1933 in Orlando to Grace and Brooks Prose. He died July 13, 2015 as a result of complications from a fall causing a traumatic brain injury. He attended Orlando High School and went to vocational school for Auto Mechanics and Radio. He met Lorraine at vocational school and married on January 31st, 1953. At age 22, he went to work for Simonet Electric, eventually taking over the business and working there until his accident at age 81. He was known and loved by many in the community and was always ready to lend a helping hand or give advice to anyone. He loved fishing, boating and being out in nature. He also had a passion for reading and tinkering. Survived by his wife Lorraine Prose and 5 children; Linda Kelliher, Debbie Kirby, Cindy Nielsen, Clifford Prose and Greg Prose. Preceded in Death by his son Darrell Prose, also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 2 step Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, July 18th, 2015 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4001 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, Florida 32804. Visitation for friends will be held Friday, July 17th, 2015 from 3-6 p.m. at the church. Graveside services to be held following the Mass at Drawdy Rouse Cemetery, 4050 Rouse Road, Orlando, Florida 32817.
