Obituary

Randy Boyd Chambliss, "The Keystone Elf", 67, of Uniontown, PA, after a fourteen-year battle with carcinoid cancer, passed peacefully on January 10, 2024, at home with his wife, Suzanne, by his side.

Randy was born on July 29, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia the son of Hiram Chambless and Elizabeth Susan (Williamson) Chambless. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and his mother-in-law and close friend, Donna Ingrassia.

Randy proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and then later as a Boy Scout Troop Master.

Randy truly enjoyed life. He loved to be silly, laugh, and play. All who were blessed to know him know that he never passed up an opportunity to make someone smile – ever! Other things he enjoyed include butterflies, his momma's cornbread, roller-skating, bowling, musicals, everything Pokémon, watching wrestling, swapping bad dad jokes, and playing any kind of game with family and friends. In November of 2021, he got to experience Disney World for the first time, where he really was free to be a kid again.

Randy is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Luscombe) Chambliss of Uniontown, 2 sons, Christpher Chambliss of Merrittstown and Scott Luscombe and Kristina Shaffer of Mt. Pleasant, brother, Danny Chambliss and wife Christine of Stockbridge, Georgia, a large extended family, including friends that he considered family, and his Godson Xandar.

A special thank you to Dr. Afaq Ahmad, and all of the team at the Hillman Cancer Center in Uniontown. Over the fourteen years, they became much more than just health care providers, and grew to enjoy the silly puns he always had ready for them.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Calvary Apostolic Church, 127 Rolling Hills Estate Road, Uniontown, PA 15401 at 2:00 PM.

Arrangements are under the direction of the DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, Stacey A. Dolfi, FD, 65 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401. Interment is private.
