Randolph "Randy" Henry Burton, beloved husband and father, departed earth on May 7, 2018.
Randolph, son of Leonia Shands and the late John Burton, was born on April 25, 1954 in Evanston, Ill. He was a graduate of New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL and completed his bachelors and doctoral degrees in Chemistry at MIT in 1979. While in college, he met his wife, Karen Bruen, whom he married on June 12, 1976. He worked at Bell Labs/AT&T in the microelectronics division for 20 years. He spent his later years as an entrepreneur from home.
Randolph is survived by his mother, Leonia Burton, his brother, Jeffery G. Burton, his wife, Karen Burton, his children, Jeffery Burton and Laura Ross (Benjamin), and grandson, Zachary Ross.
Services will be determined by family at a later date.
