Ralph A. Darville, Jr, age 82, of Winter Park, FL, passed away at his home in Winter Park, FL on Friday, June 26, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Betty Darville; brothers, Lawrence, Johnny, and Dale; and sister Trudy.
Ralph grew up in Riviera Beach, FL. He was the third child of Ralph and Betty Darville and was one of six brothers and five sisters. He joined the Navy after graduating high school.
After the Navy, he met Joann Hunt in West Palm Beach. They married in May 1968 and had three daughters, Karen LeBlanc (Kurt), Darlene Kreidler (Dwayne), Krissy Cannon (Milton).
His career was a sign maker and loved drawing characters in his spare time. He would visit museums and art festivals as much as possible.
He had six grandchildren, Delaney Kreidler, Sydney LeBlanc, Drake Kreidler, Simone LeBlanc, Davis Kreidler, and Chandler Cannon. They were his pride and joy and would often brag about them to friends.
His motto was "a cheerful heart is good medicine" and felt he hadnt done his job if he didn’t make people laugh.
He was an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, where he volunteered in the food pantry.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Church of the Good Shepherd, 331 Lake Ave, Maitland, FL 32751.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ralph's memory may be given to the Good Shepherd Food Pantry at Church of the Good Shepherd.
