PRESTON CALVIN WALKER

Preston Calvin Walker, 82, of Altamonte Springs, Fla., passed away September 1,2021.

Born on April 10, 1939 to Preston and Jewel Walker in Holmes County, Fl.

Preston graduated from Poplar Springs High School in 1957. He joined the Army shortly after graduating. When he returned home from the service he met and married Hilda Faye Broom of Chipley, Fla. He and Hilda moved to Altamonte Springs, Fla. They opened a drywall business and raised four children.

Preston was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and the outdoors. He was an active member of Wekiva Springs Baptist Church were he enjoyed socializing with his many friends.

Preston was a natural light and will continue to be for those who had the blessing of knowing him.

Preston is survived by his wife, Hilda Faye and his beloved children, Laura, Laurie, Timothy, and Todd. He also leaves behind two siblings, his brother Clifford and his sister Pearl. Preston has 7 grandchildren and countless great grandchildren.

Family will receive visitors from 11am - 12pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Wekiva Springs Baptist Church, 584 North Wekiva Springs Road, Apopka, Fla. 32712. His memorial service will take place a 12pm in the church with a Celebration of Life following in the church social hall.
