Obituary

Philip Jerome "Jerry" Foran, age 71, of Windermere, FL, died suddenly on September 15, 2017. Born in Rockaway Beach, NY, he graduated with a business degree from St. Bonaventure University, NY.
After serving as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Alaska, he worked as a certified public accountant in Chicago. He was then employed by the Chicago Cubs (Director of Ticket Services) and the USFL Chicago Blitz (Ticket Director). This led to his position with the NFL Buffalo Bills as the Director of Marketing & Sales and then as Executive Vice-President for Administration from 1985 to 2007. He was employed there during the Buffalo Bills four Super Bowl attempts.
To be near their son and his family, Jerry and his wife June retired to Windermere, FL, in 2007 where they had ten of their happiest years.
Jerry was an avid sports fan spending many hours watching and analyzing the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, Bishop Moore Hornets, Florida Gators, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. His greatest joy was being with his three grandchildren. He was a loving and proud "Didi". He thoroughly enjoyed being their chauffeur, being the supervisor of their homework, and advising them on the ins-and-outs of stocks and investments.
He was predeceased in death by his parents, Peggy and Phil Foran; his sister, Barbara; and his in-laws, Hazel & Edward Swertel. He is survived by his wife, June (the love of his life); his son, Joe; his daughter-in-law, Kim; his grandchildren, Joey, Drew and Katie; his sisters Patty (John) Rittinger, Peggy Foran and husband Dave Schmidt, Eileen Foran, and Maureen Ryan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Viewing will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory, 1400 Matthew Paris Blvd., Ocoee, FL 34761 followed by a memorial service starting at 12 noon.
