Peter "Papi" Zalewski passed peacefully in the company of family and friends Sunday December 18th 2016. Papi was predeceased by his parents Filip and Agafia Zalewski, and Sister Vera Salva. Papi is survived by his wife Ruth "Mamita" Zalewski, Son Mark Zalewski and his wife Kim, Daughter Leah "Nen" Zalewski-Fleming and her husband Robert, God-Daughter Edith Maria "Eah" Carillo, Grandchildren Ricky, Miranda, Mark, Sabrina, Alexis, Tiffany, Christian, and also by his brother Paul Zalewski and his Sister Lia Bostick. Papi was born October 7, 1941 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, he later moved to New York where he met and married the love of his life Mamita. They were inseparable during their 49 year marriage. In 1973 he and his family moved to Winter Park, Florida to be closer to his sisters. Peter was a brilliant man, who was able to design, fabricate, and repair anything he put his mind to. He was the perfect example of selflessness and would always make time to help his family, friends and neighbors. His favorite things to do were to spend time with Mamita, and his family, cook, ride his bike with his grandkids and watch soccer. He was dearly loved by his family and will be missed more than words can say, but we all know he is with us in our hearts, memories and looking out for us from heaven. It was a joy, privilege and honor to know and love Papi and our lives will always be better because of him.
