Captain Peter "Pete" Joseph Krug
Peter died unexpectedly at his home in DeBary, Florida on July 8th, 2024 at the age of 67 years old.
Peter was born in Indianapolis on April 2nd, 1957 as the first born son to Helen and Jerome Krug. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1979 with a degree in Nuclear Engineering. He served as Ships Engineer aboard the nuclear-powered submarine, USS Thomas Jefferson. He married Marilyn at the Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis in 1979. Peter moved around the country with his deployment, but settled in Avon Lake, Ohio where his two sons were born. He then moved to Los Angeles, California with his family and finally to Central Florida. He worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and Manager for multiple companies including Amgen, Rhône-Poulenc, and Aventis.
Peter is survived by: his wife of almost 45 years, Marilyn Ann Krug née Kea; his son Michael Jerome Krug and partner Delmar Harris Ahleong Jr.; his son Nathaniel Peter Krug and wife Alexandra Leigh Krug née Hilton and their two children, Peter's adored grandchildren, Luke Thomas Krug and Olivia Grace Krug; his siblings Anne Krug of Indiana, Mary Krug of Indiana, Beth Mundell née Krug (Jim) of North Carolina, John Krug (Paula) of Indiana, Thomas Krug (Barbara) of Ohio. He is preceded by his Mother; Helen Krug née Gallagher and his Father Jerome Krug.
The Memorial Service is scheduled for July 20th, 2024 at One Church, 1675 Dixon Rd, Longwood, FL at 10:00 AM with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Peter's life.
