Pete Drennan - The Man. The Myth. The Legend, was taken way too soon by COVID-19 on April 22, 2021.

Pete was born in Framingham Massachusetts on January 24, 1950. At the ripe age of 18, he helped move his parents to Deltona, Florida. After seeing the palm trees and beaches, he decided to stay.

He started playing drums at the age of 14 which led him to his next adventure; a recording studio at the age of 16. Music became his passion. He traveled the country playing drums in bands until the age of 27.

After retiring from music, he started his hunt for a new career. Being a musician with long hair was not always embraced when interviewing, but he ended up getting a job in a woodworking shop. Here he discovered his incredible talent and passion in this industry. He had the vision to create what others couldn't imagine. In 1980 he opened his own company, Altamonte Woodworking which he had for over 41 years.

Pete created incredible works of art and was featured in the Parade of Homes. He was also commissioned by the City of Orlando and was honored to design the Pulse Night Club Memorial located inside of the new OPD headquarters. Pete was a very proud and successful small business owner who worked very hard at his craft. His clients became his friends and stayed his friends long after the job was done. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

He never lost his love of music or zest for life. He attended many concerts along the way following some of his favorite bands. Later in life he was fortunate to travel to many beautiful places thanks to his wife Terri's gentle persuasion. He loved riding his motorcycle, cruising in his hot rod, airboats, and sitting on his "lanai" enjoying a good cigar and a glass of bourbon. It is here he greeted you with the biggest bear hug and where he loved telling his endless stories recapping his adventures no matter how big or small. He always put his own spin on them which made them...long, but it was so much fun listening to his infectious laugh and watching his excitement as he told each story.

His wife Terri, daughter Brittany, stepson Wyatt, brother Paul (Carrie), his family, and so many friends will dearly miss him. No one can or will ever compare. There will never be another FOTM.

Pete's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 23rd beginning at 4:30. It will be at the American Legion, located at 2706 Wells Ave. Fern Park, FL 32730. We will be holding this outdoors, so dress accordingly. Pete attire: comfortable and casual. We respectfully ask that MASKS be worn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pete's name may be made to the American Legion, Old Glory Post 183.
