Peni Hecksel, 58, 2451 Bay Avenue Sanford, died Saturday, April 26th. Funeral services will be at 11am on Saturday May 31st at DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory. Tom Hensley of Union Park Christian Church will be officiating. Peni Hecksel was born in Rochester, Minnesota on July 5th, 1955. Her family moved to Florida in 1960. She was of the Catholic faith. She graduated from Seminole High School and in 1979 became a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Peni was married to Larry Gene Hecksel on January 30th, 1992 they were married 7 years. Peni Hecksel worked as a Licensed Practicing Nurse for 31 years. Peni enjoyed the arts: music, movies, and theatre. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her son, daughter, and three grandchildren.
Peni is survived by her son, Jason Dunn; daughter, Francine Waldron; grandchildren: Hayden, Dawson, and Sarai; sisters Pamela Kliem and Jane Locke; brother, Mitch Locke; nephew, Bradley Locke; Fred Woods; niece, Michelle Locke, Debbie DuBois
