Peggy Jo Brice, age 75 of Orlando, Florida passed away Sunday night of December 9, 2018 surrounded by her family at Florida Hospital after a brief illness. She was born Peggy Jo Viands on August 4 th , 1943 in Luray, Virginia to the late Irving Francis Viands and Evelyn Caroline Ridley. The family moved from Luray to Orlando, Florida shortly after her birth and Peggy grew up in Orlando. Peggy graduated from Edgewater High in 1961 and, she began her work career at Martin Marietta (now Lockeed Martin) as an executive assistant until 1969. In 1970, she began her legal
assistant career working for her beloved mentor and friend J.C. Stone, who became The Honorable J.C. Stone until 1986. She then served the state of Florida in the judicial system until her retirement 2016. Her last position prior to her retirement was the Judicial Assistant for the 9 th Judicial Circuit, and she loved her colleagues and her work.
Peggy was known as Aunt Peggy to many and was loved and cherished by her late husband, her sister, her aunts and uncles, her cousins, her sons and her nieces. She was fun loving and never met a roller coaster or go kart she would not ride with her nieces. She was spontaneous and loved experiencing life to the fullest, and even joined her sister's family on a cruise with just the clothes on her back when she and her husband were dropping the family off at the cruise terminal. She loved taking
family and friends out to nice restaurants to share dinner, laughs and wine. She and her only sibling shared a birthday, and her sister, Gloria thought she was the best birthday present she ever received. Although she is still with us in spirit, she is missed terribly by all.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Majowitz of Orlando and Daryl Marowitz
(Alyssa) of Enid, Oklahoma, her sister Gloria Lineberger of Williamsburg, VA and nieces and nephew, Todd Lineberger (Nancy), Lisa Garcez (Joe), and Shari Lineberger. She is also survived by great nieces, great nephews and grandchildren.
