Pearl Bernita Stanford Arthur

Pearl Bernita Stanford Arthur (also known as Bernita or Ms. B.) of Orlando, Florida passed away on August 16th, 2021. She was born in Lynbrook, New York on March 8th,1938. Pearl married Neville E. Arthur from Barbados and they lived in Freeport, NY. Together they had two children: Neville C. Arthur and Jennifer B. Arthur. She had a career in advertising where she worked for a company called EPD Labs. Pearl loved the arts and enjoyed going to see a Broadway Show, visiting Central Park, or just hanging out in the city. Pearl kept active and enjoyed skiing and bowling. She believed in the Girl Scouts of America program and worked for them as a Girl Scout Leader. She would take the girls camping and on different trips teaching them about the world. It was great that she got the chance to work with her daughter and for the girls to see that you can have a friendship with your mother. After working in advertising, Pearl took a job working in the city for many years at Rolex. She even won the lottery with some of the girls from work! On weekends, Pearl enjoyed working for the Disney Store on 5th Avenue --which she truly loved as it gave her the opportunity to meet people from all around the world. Pearl retired from Rolex and decided to move to Florida. Remaining active, she then took a job at Walt Disney World where she worked at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, the Christmas Store, the Art of Disney (she really enjoyed selling the Disney paintings). If you knew her or even meet her, you would see her great smile. She loved life and having fun. As a mom, if she got mad at you it was because she cared about you, and you knew she was on your side for life. However, if you crossed her, well we all know how that went! Truly, she loved everyone no matter who they where or where they came from. We will remember us always having a good time, trips into the city and our family dinners at the Freeport dinner. Pearl is survived by her brother Al Stanford; her son Neville C. Arthur; her daughter Jennifer Arthur; her former husband Neville E. Arthur; her daughter in law Stephanie Arthur; two grandchildren: Quincy and Jackson; her sister in-law Ruth Standford; and nieces Sharlene Stanford and Shantalle Standford Bevan; and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
