Paula A. MacAuley, 90, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Aventura at the Bay following a long battle with dementia. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Donald MacAuley, in 2016.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 28, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Teresa McCormick and has resided in St. Petersburg for 54 years.
Paula is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary A. Ball and Frank Ball, and Linda Estano and Stephen Estano; her son and daughter-in-law, Norman MacAuley and Kelly MacAuley; her five grandchildren, Frank (Holly) Ball, Travis Ball, Tyler (Alison) Ball, Ryan Estano, and Adam Estano; three great grandchildren, Hunter Ball, Hayden Ball, and Rylee Ball; and many nieces and nephews. Paula was predeceased by her three brothers, Francis McCormick, Richard McCormick, and Robert McCormick; and her two sisters, Geraldine Metcalfe and Jean McCormick.
The family would like to extend its gratitude to all the staff at Aventura at the Bay and Empath Suncoast Hospice for the extraordinary care and kindness they have shown their mother and grandmother during the past four years.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 12:30 PM at R. Lee Williams and Son Funeral Home at 3530 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to:
