Obituary

Paul Michael "Mickey" Leckinger, 72, of Orlando, Florida passed away on February 15, 2021 at the Lake Nona VA Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Paul was born February 6, 1949 in Rochester, NY to the late Paul and Elizabeth (McKay) Leckinger.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Susan, his 3 children, Michael (Amy), Jana Kwoka (Bill), and Christopher (Amy), his 3 step-children, Elizabeth Coln (Stephen), Jennifer Balsley (Jason), and Jeffrey Alexa, 2 brothers Thomas (Mandy) and Terrence (SueAnn), 18 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, and his dog, Casey.

Paul served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Combat Photographer. After his military service he was in the trucking and security industry and relocated to Chicago, IL. With great ambition, Paul started his own business as a consultant and private investigator. Years later, Paul & Susan moved to Central Florida.

Paul enjoyed golfing, boating, football, and hockey, and he was an avid reader. He was very generous and had a bigger than life personality. He always went out of his way to help those in need. He was loved by many and will truly be missed.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30am to 11:00am on Friday, February 26, 2021 with a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00am all at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 575 Tuskawilla Rd, Winter Springs, FL 32708.
The parish of St. Stephen requests that all attending please wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Those sending expressions of sympathy in flowers are asked to ensure delivery to DeGusipe Funeral Home, 9001 N. Orlando Ave., Maitland, FL no later than 4:00pm on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Please do not deliver flowers to the church.
