Paul R. Clifton, 71 of Chuluota, Florida passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016. Mr. Clifton was born April 14, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to M.G. and Rilda Barnes Clifton.
Paul is survived by his wife of 32 years Deborah Clifton, his son Phillip Clifton, his two granddaughters, his sister Mary and her husband Robert Deloof, and his nieces and nephews. Paul served 4 years in the Marines and earned a Good Conduct Medal, Rifle Expert Badge and Sharp Shooter, and Meritorious Mast. Paul flew planes for 33 years with over 16,000 hours of flight time logged. He flew planes ranging from piper cub to BAC 1-11, working for Florida Express, Braniff, Midway and retiring from ABX Air in 2004. He then started a new career as an instructor teaching new and recurrent pilots at Flight Safety on the Citation 10 Simulator.
A unique soul, Paul was very kind, and enjoyed animals greatly. He will be greatly missed and he will live in our hearts.
Memorial donations may be made in Paul's name to two of his favorite charities: SPCA of Central Florida and The Second Harvest Food Bank.
