Obituary

PATRICK LEE McGAHA, SR., 65, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed on to be with the Lord on January 30, 2014, after a long, courageous struggle with Parkinson's Disease and cancer. He was born in Salisbury, Maryland on April 17, 1948, to the late Oda and Annetta McGaha, Sr. His family moved to Beltsville, Maryland about 1950 where he grew up. Pat graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland in 1971 with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation he worked for Westinghouse in Philadelphia, PA for about 11 years as an engineer. During that time he also received his MBA from Weidner College in Chester, PA. He spent the remainder of his career with the company in a marketing capacity. He and his family moved to Winter Springs, FL in 1982 when Westinghouse moved their headquarters to Orlando. He retired from Westinghouse/Siemens in 2007 after 35 ½ years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan, and his three sons, Patrick Jr., Scott (Alexandra), and Kevin. He is also survived by his brother Oda McGaha, Jr. (Anne), his brother Arnold McGaha, Sr. (Jean), his sister Nancy McGaha, mother-in-law Betty Zerr, brother-in-law Tom Smith (Linda), sister-in-law Karen Kociolek (Peter), and nine nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014, 1:30 pm at Aloma United Methodist Church, 3045 Aloma Ave., Winter Park, FL 32792.
