Patricia Ann Travis, 72, of Sanford, Florida, passed away on December 9,2018, surrounded by her children and grandchildren after a battle with cancer.

Her memorial service will be held at Westview Baptist Church in Sanford on Thursday, December 13 at 7pm. Charlie Higgins of Westview Baptist will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by DeGusipe Funeral Home.

Patricia Ann Marsh was born in Port Tampa, Florida on January 21, 1946. Her father was a long-haul trucker and her mother was a homemaker. The Marshes moved to Sanford when she was a toddler and she lived here in Sanford where she met Glen in 1960.

Pat and Glen Travis were joined in marriage on February 18,1961 in Brantley County, Georgia. They had four children together whom they raised in Florida, Virginia, Tennessee and Washington state, moving frequently as Glen was transferred from squadron to squadron in the Navy. Glen was often at sea fulfilling his obligations to the navy, so Pat was frequently left to raise the children by herself in unfamiliar surroundings. In spite of the distance and separations, their strong bond held the family together through the frequent moves. After Glen retired from the navy in 1983, they returned to Sanford where they lived together for the next 33 years until Glen's death in 2017.

Pat is survived by her brothers Harold Marsh of Tallahassee, John Marsh of Samoa, her children Patrick Parker Travis of Seattle, Lisa Travis Lord and Sandra Travis, both of Sanford; her grandchildren Glen Travis IV, Charlotte Kocha, Greg Lord, Chris Lord, Amanda Lord Cox, Ivy Warren, all of whom live in central Florida and Robert Bernales currently serving in the Army and Andrew Bernales of Portland, OR. She also has 17 great grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Glen, her parents Alyse Parker Marsh & Harold Marsh and her daughter Alyse Marie Travis Bernales.
