Patricia Anne McArdle Fry, 89, formerly of Monroeville, Indiana, died Thursday March 19 in Oviedo, Florida, surrounded by family.

Patricia was born to Frances H. McArdle Knepp and Dr. Charles C. McArdle in Anderson, Indiana in 1925. The family later moved to Monroeville, Indiana before Patricia attended St Mary's Academy in South Bend, Indiana, and later Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Patricia married Coyle Wilson Fry in 1947 in Monroeville, Indiana. The newlyweds lived in Plymouth, Indiana for a short time while Coyle taught flying to beginning pilots. Patricia didn't want to raise a child on an airport, so they returned to Monroeville to begin their family.

After both retired, they relocated to Orange City, Florida in 1992. They were married for 51 years until Coyle died in 1998. They had 8 children, 12 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Patricia spent her final years in Casselberry and Longwood, Florida, close to her family.

In addition to being a homemaker, Patricia worked for Sears in the 1960s, then for East Allen County Schools, retiring after nearly 20 years of service. Patricia was very involved with her churches, St Louis Besancon while living in Indiana, St Ann's in Debary, Florida and finally St Augustine's in Casselberry, Florida. She was involved in many social organizations throughout her life. Patricia was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan, and was always the first to say 'Maybe next year!'

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Mary Margaret Schall. She is survived by her 8 children, Stephen C Fry of Tavier, Belgium, Thomas E Fry of Fort Wayne, IN, Sally A Fry of Winter Park, FL, Margaret A (Peggy) Dwyer of Oviedo, FL, Andrew M. Fry of Murfreesboro, TN, Mary A Peel of Fern Park, FL, John P Fry of Fort Wayne, IN, and David R Fry of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Louis Besancon Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Comforter of Central Florida, St Louis Besancon Academy, or St Louis Besancon Catholic Church.
