PAMELA RAY STRAUSS, age 72 of Deland, Florida, passed peacefully from this life into eternal life with Jesus on Saturday morning, September 14, 2019. Ms. Strauss was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 3, 1947 where she lived most of her life. She was a part of the Catonsville High School graduating class of 1965 and friends from that class still talk about the kind spirit she was to this day. In 1998, she relocated to Florida where she continued to bring joy to other's lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis R. and Marjorie R. (Willey) Strauss; and granddaughter, Emillie Rose Donaldson. She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Burkowske) Donaldson and husband Michael, of Wheaton, IL; her son, Steven Burkowske and wife Dawn, of Palm Harbor, FL; her son, Shayne Burkowske, of Glen Ellyn, IL; her daughter, Ashley Strauss and fianc? Richard, of Sanford, FL; sister, Patricia (Strauss) Pekary and husband Lee, of Mountain View, CA; her nephews Shannon Pekary of San Diego, CA and Chris Pekary of Memphis, TN; her grandchildren Michael and wife Amara, Haillie, Logan, Jillian, Eric and wife Ariana, Hannah, Abigail, Olivia, and James; and great-grandchildren Henry, Irys, and Asher.
It was also her desire that in lieu of flowers, please consider making a charitable donation to PANCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network). Donations in her name can be received at the Celebration of Life service or online at pancan.org.

A Celebration of Life service for Pamela Strauss, will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019 beginning promptly at 2:00pm at The Gathering Place Ministry Center, 269 Bellaggio Circle, Sanford, FL 32771. It was the request of Pam, that everyone in attendance wear blue jeans and bright colors.
