Olga Horak Faubel, age 67, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Comforter on August 4th to be with the Lord. Born to Rose Horak and the late Wasyl Horak, Olga moved to Winter Park, FL, in 1989 from Addison, IL. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Kevin, her daughter, Natalie, and son-in-law Craig Shaffer of Clermont, FL, her granddaughter, Abbey, her mother, Rose Horak, her sister and brothers, Mary Horak Finn (late James Finn), Bill Horak (Vicki), nephew, Brandon of Orlando, FL, niece, Ashleigh Gadd (Scott) of Charlotte, NC, and Roman Horak (Kathy) and nephew, Alexander of Addison, IL. Olga is also survived by her step-daughters Megan Faubel, Cristin Compton (Chad) and grandson, Chase, Kelly Jones (Earl) and grandson, Kevin, and many beloved family and friends. She retired from WESH-TV2 after 18 wonderful years and loved being a Mom and Grandmother. She loved her family, reading, road trips with her husband, painting, sharing artistic activities with her daughter and sister, reading to her granddaughter, and driving her Crossfire. Olga will be missed by all who knew her as she brought sunshine into the lives of all she touched. A visitation will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home this Friday, August 7th from 7-9pm at 9001 N. Orlando Ave., Maitland, FL, and a Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, August 8th at 12pm at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Winter Park, FL.
