Norma Jean Wilson (Pete) DeWolf , flew away to heaven at 11:11am on Sunday, January 25,2015. Norma was born on September 20, 1929 to Norman Wilson and Mary Maude Wilson in Fort Valley, Ga , where the family was temporarily residing. The family moved back to Miami, Florida when she was five days old and she grew up in Alapatah, a section of Miami. She attended Miami Jackson High School where she received two "Letters" for band., and she received the English Literature Award. After she attended Florida State University for two years, she met and married Tom DeWolf, the love of her life, and she embarked on her new life as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She and Tom moved to central Florida in 1971. Norma and Tom celebrated their 65th anniversary on September 23, 2014.
She is preceded in death by son, David; her parents and is survived by her loving husband, Tom; daughter, Laura Rieker; 3 grandchildren, Kathryn Plummer, Tom Rieker , Elizabeth Rieker and her great grandson, David Plummer all of West Florida. She is also survived by her older sister, Mrs. Mary Elma Van Slyke of Orlando, Florida and three nephews, Richard, Craig and Glenn.
She will be greatly missed by her husband and all of her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 2:30PM at the DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, West Orange Chapel, 1400 Matthew Paris Blvd. Ocoee, FL 34761.
