Nora Jean Trusiak Wilson (1959-2021)

Nora Jean Trusiak Wilson was presented to the Lord on October 18, 2021 after 62 years and 36 years of marriage to her husband Timothy. Nora led a full life and was a devoted and kind person to her husband, family and friends and to our loving cats at home.

Nora was raised in Martinsville, New Jersey and moved to Central Florida in 1977. She attended classes at Florida Institute of Technology (now UCF) and began a career in retail sales, food and beverage, restaurant management and food catering.

In 1983, she met her future husband Tim while working at Errol Estate Country Club. In August 1985, they were married at the Orlando Christian Center (now closed) during Hurricane Elana. The weather broke in time for the ceremony and was well attended even with the inclement weather. Before their marriage, they were "born again" to receive the Lord under the direction of Pastor Benny Hinn. As part of her Christian faith Nora is now under the care and direction of our Lord and Savior, but will always be remembered for her life and the impact she had on others here in Central Florida.

Nora enjoyed athletic activities included softball, tennis and golf. One of the vows to her husband was to Love, Honor and "eventually shoot par." Nora was on a winning scramble team and the designated putter of the group so she could hold her own on the golf course.

Nora lived in several locations in the area until Tim and Nora finally moved to their current residence in Apopka in 1990. Nora was very supporting of her husband and would often attend golf tournaments and also be the" cart caddie" when walking was required for the contestants. After their marriage, Tim and Nora were members of Errol Estate Country Club until 1999.

Nora was fond of animals particularly cats. Over the years, there were 11 indoor cats and many feral cats outdoors that were cared for. Other animals including raccoons, possums and bears would visit the back lanai for an evening feeding. Current cats are Patch, Cheesecake, Fletch, Joy, Sammy and momma Jackie. Nora's life at home was centered around the love and affection to our kits.

Nora's interests and talents included gourmet cooking, organizing for the holidays, particularly for the Christmas season and providing gifts and surprises for spouse, family and friends. Nora always had to have a live Christmas tree and showcased a variety of ornaments and tree decorations including a Disney ornament for each year since 1985, bubble lights and a wide collection of ornaments that told a story of places visited to be remembered. One year, there were 5 Christmas trees in the house and on the lanai to celebrate the holiday season.
Recent trees were Concolor firs which have a citrus scent.

Nora also enjoyed fireworks as her birthday was on July 3rd the day before our Independence Day. We would attend fireworks at Crane's Roost on July 3rd, at Epcot throughout the year for Illumination's Reflections of Earth, and at our home until the trees were too large to shoot them from the street. Friends and family would enjoy the show and then the root beer floats and other goodies afterwards.

As Nora stepped away from work in recent years, she developed an interest in providing helpful hints to friends and family as a way to assist others maneuver through their daily life routines. You could always ask for advice or an answer to a question when needed.

Surviving family members include her husband Tim, sisters Judith and Ann and brother-in-laws Chuck Kinyon, Longwood, FL and John Tunderman, Tucson, AZ. Tim has two brothers, John and Matt Wilson including their wives, Rita and Sheril.
