On Sunday April 8th, 2018, Noel Reiman-Dougherty, passed away suddenly and too soon, at the age of 48.

She is survived by her sons, John Dougherty age 20, Jimmy Dougherty age 18 of Apopka Fl. Her father John Reiman of Somerset Pa; her mother Ellen and step father Phil Bevans of Kissimmee, FL; and her brother Michael Reiman of Santa Cruz, Ca.

Noel grew up in Laurel MD and graduated from Gaithersburg high school. She went on the be the first in her family to attend college and received both her undergraduate degree and her Master of Science degree from the Florida Institute of Technology in aerospace engineering. She worked for government contact companies including Coleman aerospace and Northrop Grumman advancing programs in air defense with her specialty of guidance navigation and control systems. She then took her talents to the private sector where she worked with Jet Blue and Thales on projects including satellite and internet systems for airline onboard entertainments systems.
She had a kind and generous heart giving her time and resources to many charitable organizations. She had a particular interest in developing children for the future and bring her passion of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) to the youth.


A celebration of Noel's life will be held at 12:30 pm, on Saturday April 28th at the DeGusipe Funeral home, 9001 N Orlando Ave, Maitland, FL 32751

Memorial Donations in memory of Noel may be made to Junior Achievement USA to support her passion for helping children reach their full potential.
