Nirmalaben "Niru" Desai was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away on January 22nd, 2025, at the age of 78.
She was born to Dinkerrai and Sardaben Desai on July 11th, 1946, the oldest of 9, a second mother to them all. She was a well-respected teacher who cherished and supported her students. She married Bipinchandra in 1975 and had four daughters: Nidhishree, Preksha, Krupali, and Rudra. She relished in seeing her four grandchildren flourish: Arnav, Viha, Aishi, and Pravya.
She loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking delicious meals for her family, friends, and neighbors. She was well known for her famous khaman and papdi. She would spend hours cooking, pouring her love into feeding those around her. Her other hobbies included needlework and gardening. Her dream was that all her family would sleep on sheets she embroidered and that her garden would provide nourishment for her family.
There was no one she met that she would not give a helping hand. Everyone she met said that she was the kindest, most giving person they had ever met.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at 2pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory in Maitland, FL. Please join us to celebrate her life.
