Lane, Nina Marie Routh 72, of Debary lost her battle with cancer on March 16, 2016. Born in Miami Beach, FL to Charles Henry Routh, Jr and Frances Willowdean Tulk Routh Luckasavage.
She was in the first graduating class of Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, FL in 1961. After graduating, Nina moved from Orlando to Debary and she and her husband built one of the first homes in Orlandia Heights. She worked for Volusia County School System.
Nina wrote poetry and published "Doorways of Life" The book was dedicated to her oncologist, doctors and their staff and to her family and friends. She called her writings "little ditties". She had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time at Ormond Beach and with her life partner Craig Tipple in Osteen.
Nina is survived by her daughter Diana Moore Tacey and sons Larry Allen Moore, Kenneth Moore and Ronnie Lane, grandchildren Ben and Holly Lane, and Branden Tacey and Tommy Pleis, her brother Charles Henry Routh III and sister Laura Routh Leidigh. An informal memorial service of her life will be held at the Clubhouse at Breezewood Condominiums in Orange City, Florida on Sunday, March 20 at 2:00PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shands Hospital, Gainesville, FL. DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland and Sanford are handling arrangements.
