Obituary

Nathan was born in Dallas, Texas on August 10th, 1979 to parents Hugh and Sharon Hubbard. When Nathan was about 5 years old, his family moved from Dallas, Texas to Pembroke Pines, FL to pastor the South Florida Christian Center in Miramar, FL. Always wanting to be a big brother and praying for this chance once he found out his mom was pregnant, Nathan's little brother and best friend Marcus J. Hubbard was born on March 10, 1987. Nathan was valedictorian of the 1997 graduating class of South Florida Christian Academy, which was affiliated with the church his parents pastored. Nathan and Jackie had great fun in bantering about his valedictorian status of the two person graduating class.

Nathan proudly moved to Sarasota at age 17 to attend the prestigious Ringling School of Art and Design. This school was his dream school and he excitedly pursued his passion for all things art, majoring in Illustration. He loved to draw, paint, and design and would often tell Jackie and friends stories of his all-nighters to perfect whatever art project he was working on at the time.

Upon graduating Ringling, Nathan moved back to Dallas, where the rest of his family had relocated to while he was attending Ringling. Back in Dallas, Nathan earned a Masters in 3D Modeling and Design.

Upon enrollment but prior to beginning his Masters program, Nathan came back to Florida to serve as a groomsman in a childhood friend's wedding. At this wedding, he met Jackie Everett, who was serving as a bridesmaid. The two immediately hit it off and by the end of the wedding weekend, Jackie was telling Nathan they were soulmates and going to get married one day.

The two parted ways and went about their life for a year, Nathan beginning his graduate program in Texas and Jackie working as a teacher in Florida. They reconnected in May of 2006 and decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend. Jackie moved to Texas to teach for a year while Nathan finished his graduate degree and the two married on June 22, 2007.

The two knew they were soulmates and excitedly began their married life with a Caribbean cruise. Soon after returning from their honeymoon, the couple moved to the Orlando area for the opportunity to begin to build Nathan's career in simulation and design.

Nathan joined the University of Central Florida's Research Park team in July 2008 as a Research Associate in Simulation, creating software to help train the army. This was his position until he went to heaven.

The last pieces missing from Nathan's life were children, which he and Jackie always wanted. They prayed, discussed, and believed for future children often and were blessed with the most perfect, princess baby girl of their dreams, Grace Mary Hubbard, on February 27, 2012. Nathan was tickled pink to have his perfect princess and quickly became the best father imaginable, often waking with the baby in the middle of the night as Jackie struggled with getting back to sleep when woken.

The Hubbard Family was complete with the most wonderful little man that Jackie and Nathan had been praying for, during all the years that they had prayed for Grace. Noah Andrew Hubbard entered the world on June 5, 2013 and completed the family. Nathan was so excited to have his little man and future Cowboys extreme fan join the family. Star Wars, dinosaurs, space, and Cowboys would now comingle with Disney princesses, crowns, frilly dresses and matching bows, and pink in the Hubbard household. And Nathan loved it all.

Jackie and Nathan's love story continued to grow, as they truly were very best friends, soulmates, husband and wife, and lovers. They did just about everything together, as a family unit of four.

To know Nathan is to know love. To know Nathan is to know who Jesus is, because he'd gently tell you. To know Nathan is to know the most avid Dallas Cowboys fan that existed and PROUD Texan. Another of Nathan's hobbies was smoking on the grill and BBQing, always in pursuit of the perfect brisket of beef like back home in Texas. To know Nathan is to know what it is to see someone smile with his entire face, just to see you.

He is survived by many and loved by more. Survivors are Jackie Hubbard, his soulmate and wife, Grace Hubbard, his daughter, and Noah Hubbard, his son. Teddi Hubbard, the family goldendoodle, survives and is still looking for Nathan daily. Mother, Sharon Hubbard of Dallas, Texas, brothers Christopher and Marcus Hubbard, of Dallas, Texas. Father-in-law Douglas Everett and Mother-in-law Mary Everett, of Lakeland, FL. Brother-in-law Paul Everett and sister-in-law Mele Everett, plus brand new only niece Kaia Ann Everett, of Fern Park, FL. Numerous friends that are like family survive Nathan.
