Nancy Ellen (Bardar) Welsh, age 85, passed away peacefully at Aviata Rehab Center in Lake Mary, FL on September 4, 2026

She was born in Ashley, PA. After receiving her nursing degree from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in 1961, Nancy began her 40 year nursing career in the neonatal unit of the Medical College of Pennsylvania (MCP) in Philadelphia. She later switched to gerontological nursing. Nancy relocated to Florida and worked at Westminster Towers in Orlando prior to her retirement. 

Nancy is predeceased by her parents, George and Ella Bardar and her daughter, Linda Ellen Arboleda.

She is survived by her twin children, Amy Lynne Welsh and her spouse Daniel A. Rios, Brian J. Welsh, and his spouse Jacqui Welsh, along with grandchildren Abram Rios, Anitza Arboleda, Ana Arboleda, Brian Welsh, Jr., Carlos Arboleda, Jr., George Arboleda, Mackenzie Welsh, Sydney Eads, great grandchild Maeve Arboleda, and friends Adrienne and Henry Scarfo.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Aviata Rehab, Lake Mary who cared for her with love and compassion.

A funeral Mass will be held on October 20, 2026 at Nativity Catholic Church, Longwood FL at 11am(https://www.nativity.org/livestream). Burial will be held immediately after at All Soul’s Catholic Cemetery, Sanford FLWhile Nancy’s passing brings sorrow to her family and friends, it also invites gratitude for the time spent with her.
