Nancy Jane Radcliffe
1924 – 2015
Nancy Jane Radcliffe, died November 25th, 2015 in Altamonte Springs, Florida at age 91. She had resided in Kendallville, Indiana from 1949 to 1996, when she permanently relocated to Florida.
The third child of Jay and Olive Hersh, she was born July 12, 1924 in Avilla, Indiana. She attended Depauw University and graduated from Indiana University School of Music in 1946. She married Dr. Charles Radcliffe of Paoli, Indiana, in July of 1947, who preceded her in death in 2001.
Nancy played piano and taught music for the East Noble School System for 33 years, as an elementary, junior high, and high school choral instructor. She also sang mezzo soprano and served as choir director for the Kendallville United Methodist Church for many years. Nancy was also very involved in her local Sigma Eta and Tri Kappa organizations.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Radcliffe, Fort Lauderdale, Fl., Thomas Radcliffe, Maitland, Fl., and Elizabeth (Lisa) Radcliffe Kosmac, Longwood, Fl., as well as three grandchildren, Alison, Katherine, Bradley, and one great granddaughter, Olivia.
