Nancy L. Nelson, our beloved mother, wife, and grandmother, age 70 of Sanford, FL (formally of Rio and Stoughton, WI) passed away unexpectedly on May 17th, 2016. Nancy was born in Stoughton, WI on October 13th, 1945. She grew up near Gerald "Jerry" Nelson in Stoughton, the love of her life who she would eventually marry and share nearly 50 years of marriage with. Nancy spent her career at IKI, Stoughton Hospital, and Amtelco Communications primarily as a housekeeper. Nancy's pride and joy was spending time with her family. She had recently moved to Florida in February 2016 where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Ken Smith. Nancy also enjoyed cooking and bingo outings with Jerry.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Gerald Nelson, daughters Teresa (Timothy) Lauretic and Tammy (Kenneth) Smith, son Ronald Hendrickson, sister Charlotte (Thomas) Young Epstein, brothers Richard (Joanne) Hoff and Michael (Bridget) Hoff, and grandchildren Jessica, Brandon, Samantha, Chelsea, and Matthew. Also surviving are many loved sister-in-laws, a brother in-law, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers James and Earl Jr., sister Caroline, first husband Donald, and sons Donald, and Thomas.

A memorial will be held at 11am with services at noon on May 28th, 2016 at Covenant Lutheran Church in Stoughton. A luncheon will follow.
