Obituary

Nancy Jane Pearce Lackner, born January 20, 1938 was called home by our Loving Lord on May 8, 2026.Nancy resided in the Lynwood section of Belle Vernon, PA with her loving husband of almost 70 years. Nancy was a graduate of Rostraver High School class of 1955.

She and her husband moved their family to Bayonne, NJ in 1961 and then moved to Old Bridge NJ in 1969 where they resided and raised their family. Nancy worked at Blonder and Tounge Lab in Old Bridge, NJ. Moving to East Brunswick, NJ, Nancy took on a position in Data Security with First Fidelity Bank. After retirement she and her husband moved back to Belle Vernon.

Nancy loved to read and garden, but mostly spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Old Bridge where she taught Sunday School for many years and also served on the church alter guild. She was currently a member of Lynwood Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her husband Joseph Lackner and two daughters. Sheryl Kotora of Monroe, NJ and Darla Talbot and her husband John of South River.

Nancy has five grandsons: Joseph Kotora, Jr., and his wife Amber. Jeffrey Kotora and his wife Melissa. Michael Dougherty and his wife Lara. Robert Dougherty and his wife Christine. Steven Lackner and his wife Callie.

Nancy also has 10 great grandchildren: Sarah and Madeline Kotora, Jesse, Jackson, and Layla Kotora. Lucy and Grant Dougherty. Bradley and Hailey Dougherty and Sydney Lackner. She also has to step great grandchildren Taylor and Christian Smerina. Also surviving is her sister Linda Glosser of Monessen, PA.

She is predeceased by her parents George and Louise Pearce, three brothers, James, Robert and David. One sister MayLou Pearce and her loving son Joseph Lackner.

Cremation will be private. Her family will announce when and where a memorial service will be held.
Because of her love for children, her family states that you can best honor her memory by donating to St. Judes Hospital for Children. Nancy would always greet you with a hug and a big smile. She was loved by so many and she will be missed.
