Nancy White Huskey died on December 29th, 2015, in Longwood, Florida. A Memorial service will be at Wekiva Presbyterian Church in Longwood on January 11th at 11:00AM
She was born on March 31, 1929 in Tazewell County, Virginia. Nancy was the second daughter born to Samuel Austin and Jean Elizabeth White. She grew up in Virginia, attended Longwood College in Farmville, VA and graduated from Concord College in Athens, West Virginia. She taught school until she met and married her late husband, Lt. Col. (USAF Ret.) Albert L. "Bert" Huskey. Nancy and Bert spent many years in various places: Panama Canal Zone, Athens, Greece and several military bases stateside before retiring to Longwood, Florida in 1972.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a woman of God and loved helping others. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Nancy is survived by three daughters, Liz Beaty (husband Bill) Monticello, Fl , Sara Ellen Huskey Winter Park, Fl, Barbara L DePalma, Cuenca, Ecuador , and son-in-law Jack DePalma Cresent City, Fl, 8 grandchildren, Samantha Klepper , Dan Klepper, Clayton Beaty, Brad Beaty (Jillian), Patrick Huskey, Tyler Huskey, Casey DePalma and Brandon DePalma, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces , nephews and cousins.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bert, her daughter, Pamella Klepper, son Robert A Huskey, her parents, Austin and Jean White, her brother Samuel A White, Jr and sisters, Virginia Comer and Louise Edwards. Nancy requested in lieu of flowers that donations be given to Wekiva Presbyterian Church, Longwood, Fl.
