Nancy Jeanne DeNardo, 66 of Serenity Towers, Sanford, Florida peacefully left this world to be with her Heavenly Father on October 28, 2014. Her loving daughter was at her bedside as she quietly passed away. She fought a long, hard and courageous battle with cancer and was a true inspiration to all her friends at Serenity Towers.
She lived with her longtime love and caregiver Robert J. Wesch , Sr., who gave her everything she needed. She is survived by her daughter Juliana Ingram (Thomas) of Orlando; a musically talented son, Jason R. Counterman (Laura) of Easton, PA; 3 precious grandson's Alex, Dylan, and Derrick; 3 brothers; Jay Long (Carol) of Morristown, NJ; Crail Long (Shirley) of Sebastian, FL; and Robert Long (Ellen) of Randolph, NJ; countless nieces and nephews; Her Uncle William Dean (Faye) of Belvidere, NJ; and her best, lifelong friend Gail Long (Jim) of Wind Gap, PA. She was predeceased by her biological and adoptive parents, and by two friends, Vicki and Frances of Serenity Towers.
Her favorite thing in this world was watching the Game Show Network. Other hobbies included playing games, cards, bingo and attending parties with her friends at Serenity Towers. She also enjoyed photography, knitting, fixing everything, painting indoors, and just being surrounded by her friends and family. She loved to laugh and was a light and a life of every party. She wore the crazy hats her daughter made, and decorated her walker to cheer her friends up. No matter how sick she was, she always had time and smiles for her friends. She was a professional clown named "Daisy" for over 25 years doing birthday parties, block parties, and grand openings. Everyone loved her. She also tried her hand at several businesses such as Ladybug Gardening Services, Floral Arranging, Landscaping, stenciling several popular businesses, repairing lamps, and painting words and pictures on large glass store front windows. But her most successful job was being a mother and homemaker. Nancy always had a smile for everyone even in her final days. She found the good in everyone. She was a great prayer warrior praying for everyone but herself. She was a true inspiration to anyone that knew her. She was my hero and will be deeply, deeply missed.
