Obituary

Namik was born in Baku, Azerbaijan on October 12, 1968 as an only son to an Azerbaijani father and an Armenian mother. Thirteen years his wife and him lived in Moscow. First 8 years in a hotel and then 5 years in temporary apartments with no hope for a future as they were refugees who had escaped the 1990s January massacre in Baku. He came here with his wife, Larisa Mirzoyants, his mother and his two children 3 and 8 in the first pilot program for refugees sponsored by Catholic charities and specifically by Saint Mary Magdalen Church. They were able to find warm and welcoming love through the people there who helped them find jobs and schools for their children. For 9 years they lived in apartments until recently, four years ago, they were able to purchase a beautiful home here in Fern Park. He was definitely a family man, always putting others needs in front of his own. Taking care of his sickly mother until her unfortunate death in 2012. Namik worked almost 10 years for the same company, DynaFire, and was able to earn the respect and love of many. He touched many lives of his friends and coworkers. This past Saturday on 1/14/17 he passed away unexpectedly in his sleep due to ongoing heart problems such as congestive heart failure as well as diabetes. We loved him very very much and he will be greatly missed.
