Dr. Morris Jack Rudner was an education leader committed to educational opportunities for all. The son of immigrants, he attended New York City Public Schools and earned his bachelors, masters and doctorate from New York University. He was a chemistry teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent of schools in Mineola, NY. He was Superintendent of Schools in New Milford, CT and Dean of Graduate Studies at Western Connecticut State University.
First Generation Education Fund in memory of Morris Jack Rudner was established to provide scholarships and policy advocacy for affordable tuition for those who would be the first generation in their family to go to college.
