Morgan Van Horn passed away on October 28, 2022 at the age of 28 in Fort Myers Florida as she was helping the families and victims of Hurricane Ian. She was in a horrible car accident with a semi and the doctors said that she didn't suffer any pain. She died doing what she loved helping others and giving back to the community. Morgan was born in Kansas and raised in Lake Mary Florida and excelled in swimming, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading dance teams, and of course competitive roller blade hockey with Nick.

She was baptized when she was 12 and grew up in a very loving and spiritual family. She helped feed homeless people in downtown Orlando for many years as a youth. Morgan attended Lake Mary High and then moved to Tallahassee to attend college.

While in Tali she worked for 3 years as the manager of a Women's Shelter and Co-op while attending college. Morgan also travelled to Guatemala on 4 different mission's trips with Solomon's Porch ministries to help single mothers build huts to raise their children. She told stories of 5 year old children carrying concrete blocks up the mountain to help, and single moms crying for hours over a loaf of bread they received. She also lived in a beautiful barn at Rainbow Farms Equestrian Center in Vicksburg MS while helping disabled children with Equine Horse Therapy. She also secretly mentored an autistic boy in Jacksonville for an entire year without taking a single picture out of respect. She graduated with her Bachelor's degree, and was working on her Master's Degree from USF. She traveled to Italy, surfed in Hawaii, toured London, went sky diving, swam with manatees, and she was a dog lover to a fault (too many dogs - two many dogs to be correct).

It's an understatement to say that Morgan was a wonderful human being and a Best Friend. She was truly larger than life and God must have needed her more. One of her favorite quotes is "Carpe Diem" which urges us all to make the most of life & live a great story.

Morgan is survived by Pattie and Dan Brigman, Earl Van Horn, Nick and Kenzie and Avery Van Horn, Zach Singer and family, Brian and Gail and Bridget and April Carlson, and many precious Aunts and Uncles and Cousins whom she loved. And she's personally survived by you because you care enough to be here right now in this moment. Every parent's legacy is to leave their children behind to carry on for them. But leave it to Morgan to actually Turn-the-tables on us all - and now we're all charged with carrying on her legacy instead! It's soo Morgan right ... and we know that she's smiling down on you from Heaven right now, and her bright light will shine forevermore because Love Never Dies.
