Moise Pierre, at the age of 79, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2015, surrounded by his wife, Ada Pierre. Moise was born on February 28, 1936 in Port -Au- Prince, Haiti. In 1966, Moise left Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and moved to Brooklyn, New York. Moise began working at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in the early 1970's in the Engineering Department. In 1973, Moise met his wife, Ada. Moise and Ada got married in October of 1974. A year later his daughter, Adeline, was born. Moise worked at Brookdale Hospital for 29 years in the Engineering and Warehouse Department. In 1994, Moise retired from Brookdale Hospital Medical Center.
In 2001, Moise, his wife, Ada and daughter, Adeline, moved to Orlando, Florida. In 2006, Moise wad diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. In 2006, Moise had prostate cancer surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. From 2007- 2013, Moise,'s prostate cancer was in remission. In 2014, Moise prostate cancer came back aggressively. The prostate cancer spread to his bladder which ended his life. Moise was a hard working man, he was loved by his family in Haiti and in the United States. Moise is survived by his loving family, his wife, Ada, daughter, Adeline, son, Gerald, grand children, Jennifer, Christopher, Samantha, Benson and Gerald Junior, his sister, Madam Duval, his brother, Wesner and many nieces and nephews.
