Min Feng Hou, age 96, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026. 

Min Feng lived a life centered on faith, family, and love.   A devoted Catholic throughout her life, she found strength and comfort in her faith and was a shining example of kindness, gratitude, and compassion.  

Min Feng is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Shyue You Yan. She is survived by her loving daughter, Rosa; son-in-law, Paul; and her cherished grandsons, James and Aaron.  

Nothing brought Min Feng greater joy than being with her family. Her daughter and grandsons were the center of her world, and as long as they were home, she was happy and fulfilled. She will be remembered for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and remarkable ability to find happiness in every day. We cannot remember a day when she was not smiling.  

Min Feng was loved and respected by her students. Her impact extends even after her tenure of education.  After leaving education for 40 years, her students will still gather from all over the country to pay their respects to her when she visits Taiwan. She was a bond and guiding star for everyone that she touched in her life.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Souls Catholic Church, followed by interment at All Souls Catholic Cemetery.

Popo, thank you for loving us unconditionally. You not only said it but showed it in the things you love to do every day. From the laundry you help us fold every day, taking time to prepare food for us to cook, making small boxes for us to use, bedtime habits with mom, and the smiles you share with us every day.

 Popo, words can’t describe how much we will miss you. We will cherish every memory we had together. Our birthdays, our travels, carrying you when the steps are too steep or pushing you up the mountain in the wheel chair. We will miss the days when you say it’s too tiring for us to push you in a wheel chair and us pushing you anyways. You took every adventure we planned for you and helped make us a stronger family together.

Popo, thank you for kindness. You always made sure to take care of us. We won’t forget your reminders to wear a shirt or put our sandals on. Walking us out to the car, giving us a hug and waiting for us on the driveway as we went back to work.

We miss you very much. We miss your smiles, your laughter, your love, and so much more but we are grateful for all the moments that we shared. Your love will always be with us.Thank you for being the most amazing mom and grandma.

 Mom, your daily actions are a constant testament to your love, lifting the weight of work and stress from both my shoulders and my mind. Whether it is prepping vegetables, clearing the table, cleaning the stove, or washing and folding clothes... you gracefully tend to every little thing within your reach.

Our morning walks and conversations are a sanctuary for my soul, just as it is a joy to watch you savor the coffee I brew for you. Every night before sleep, we exchange heart signs and profess our love for one another. You are the driving force and the purpose in my life, and I immerse myself fully in this beautiful, tender warmth.

Neither words nor language could ever do justice to the gratitude and yearning in my heart. In the end, it all distills into one simple truth: Mom, I love you.
