Obituary

Mimi Diamond Gallagher, 72, of Maitland, Florida, passed away on January 31st with her family by her side. Born in Brooklyn New York in October of 1941, Mimi was the daughter of Sydney and Charlotte Diamond.

Mimi was a world-traveler, real estate entrepreneur, risk taker and rule breaker. She was a free-spirited individual who spoke more than 5 languages fluently. She was married to James Gallagher for 23 years, living in New York, Beach Haven West, New Jersey, Mexico and finally Florida.

She will be greatly missed by her four children: Bryan (Rossana), Cyd Frank (Tom), Lysa Dodds (Philip), Joy Edwards (Mike), and her eight grandchildren: Jaclyn, Matthew, Lacey, Lauren, Jenna, Zach, Jake and Max. She is also survived by her sister Arlene Schecter (Marty).

A celebration of Mimi's life will be held on Monday, February 3rd at 11am at Asbury United Methodist Church, 220 West Horatio Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mimi's memory to the Alzheimer's Association of Central and North Florida, 378 Center Pointe Circle, Suite 1280, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.
