Miguel Marinas Jr., age 61, passed away on March 2, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. He was born on November 28, 1956 to Miguel and Victoria Marinas in Cojimar, Cuba.

Miguel and his family moved to the United States when he was 10 years old where he resided in New Jersey for 21 years. During his time there, he attended St. Joseph's Grammar School in Hoboken, New Jersey. At the age of 20, Miguel joined the Army Coast Guard Reserves to carry on the military tradition in his family. In 1989, Miguel decided to join his family in Orlando, Florida where he lived the remainder of his life.

Miguel spent much of his adult life as an industrial scaffold builder where he enjoyed the challenges the job presented each day. Miguel enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and spent his free time fishing at his favorite spot near Cocoa Beach.

Miguel is survived by his mother, Victoria and his brother, Alberto (Jennifer) Marinas and four nephews; Michael (Laura) Marinas, Christian (Maria) Marinas, Alex Marinas, and Stephen Marinas.

Miguel will be dearly missed and always remembered as the one who brought the energy into any situation. Miguel was a selfless man who would give the shirt off his back for not only his family and friends,but for a stranger in need, Remembrance services will be held for Miguel on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Orlando Baptist Church, 500 S. Semoran Blvd. in Orlando, Florida.
