Michael Robert Rourke, 55 of Oviedo, Florida passed away suddenly at home on September 10, 2021.

Michael is survived by his loving family – his wife of 29 years, Dawn, and children Brendan and Alaina Rourke of Oviedo. He is also survived by his parents, Tom and Lynn Rourke of Venice, FL and Inlet, NY and sister Joanne Rourke of Clifton Park, NY.

Michael was born in Niskayuna, NY and graduated from Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, NY. Michael earned degrees from Hudson Valley Community College and The University of Central Florida in Orlando. He spent more than 25 years as a self-employed painting contractor primarily for the United States Postal Service.

Mike was an avid fisherman, particularly bass fishing. He enjoyed walking the beach in the early morning hours with his metal detector. Mike was a dedicated UCF football fan. He was a longtime season ticket holder and enjoyed traveling to away games and bowl games. Mike loved going out to lunch and spending time with friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Michael will be cremated and a celebration of life event will be arranged at a later date.
