Michael Monahan, 53, of Sanford, Florida passed away on August 31, 2021 at Advent Health Altamonte Springs Hospital. He was born on December 1, 1967 to Gilda Caraccia and Michael Monahan.
Michael attended Jupiter High School where he met the love of his life, Holly. He then went on to pursue his passion for culinary by graduating from Johnson & Wales University. His love for cooking led to a successful career in the restaurant industry.
Michael spent his life enjoying family and friends. Michael's strong
frame, calm demeanor and great sense of humor made him larger than life and he was a force of energy when he entered a room. His warm and welcoming smile connected him to anybody he met.
Michael had many interests, but most often his most cherished interests came from his girls. If it was of interest to his girls, it immediately became a love of his. This type of description could only be true for the most selfless of men. In essence, Michael brightened people's lives simply by being himself. He was a natural light and will continue to be for those who had the blessing of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his soul mate and high school sweetheart, Holly Monahan; his beloved children Melissa, Kelly and Danielle. His survivors include his mother, Gilda Caraccia and husband Michael Caraccia; father, Michael Monahan and wife Kristine Monahan. Michael also leaves behind four siblings including Lisa Caraccia, Stephanie Holden, Daniel Monahan, Timothy Monahan, five nieces and nephews and countless others.
Family will receive visitors at DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory - Maitland Chapel on Friday, September 3rd from 2:00-3:00 PM.
